Prepare Now to Offer Inflation Reduction Act Incentives to Your Customers.

The Inflation Reduction Act makes $9 billion in rebates available for HVAC and energy-efficiency contractors to offer their customers in support of energy-efficiency improvements. With up to $14,000 in rebates available per household, consumer demand will likely grow, and you need to begin preparing your business now to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.

New Business Opportunities

To make the IRA funds available to their residents, each state must develop its own implementation plan. Although they won’t be approved until some time next year, you can prepare now by expanding your service offerings to include more of the measures that are eligible to receive rebates, including whole-house upgrades and electrification measures, like heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, electrical panels, and even induction stoves. Pearl Certification will provide our Network Contractors with the tools and resources they need to maximize their success with the IRA.

Contractor Qualifications

To protect consumers, IRA mandates will almost certainly require contractors to meet quality standards. Pearl Certification already employs an extensive vetting process for admitting contractors into its elite Pearl Contractor Network, and we are proactively sharing these qualifications with state entities to position our contractors as the best choice to perform the qualified work. If you meet Pearl’s high standards, you will most likely exceed those set by your state.

Third-Party Certification

Of the two main residential improvement programs in the IRA, the Home Owner Managing Energy Savings (HOMES) requires that the work performed be certified by a third-party in order for a rebate to be issued. Pearl Certification already helps top contractors meet this requirement by providing investment-grade documentation to their customers, authenticating that the energy-efficiency upgrades performed add value to the home. In fact, independent research shows that properly marketed Pearl Certifications increase home sales prices by 5% on average.
