Johnson Controls announces ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2014 designation for Coleman furnaces.

Coleman Echelon CP9C modulating gas-fired furnaces and select LX Series furnaces from Johnson Controls, a global multi-industrial company, have been selected as ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient 2014 when combined with the Residential Communicating Control.

The ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2014 designation recognizes the most efficient products among those that qualify for ENERGY STAR. The exceptional products represent the leading edge in energy efficient products this year.

In order to be named ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2014, product features must include:

• Annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) of 97% or higher
• Two-way communications with the system controller
• Automated configuration
• Thermostat or other control device with a user interface that can be located in the conditioned space
• Fault code transmission to the indoor controller

In addition, Echelon CP9C and LX Series furnaces fulfill the recommendation that the control device translates diagnostic and setup information into plain text and provides access to outside temperature data.
These ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2014 Coleman furnaces are included on the ENERGY STAR website.
