Ferguson Acquires Redlon & Johnson Supply.

Ferguson Enterprises, Inc., the largest plumbing distributor in the U.S., on Tuesday announced the acquisition of of Redlon & Johnson Supply, a division of The Gage Company, in a transaction completed March 16. Ferguson will operate from the former R&J locations as Redlon & Johnson, a Ferguson enterprise.

Redlon & Johnson is a New England distributor of plumbing, heating, cooling, water system, pipe, valves, fittings and industrial products. The company is headquartered in Portland, MA and has 10 locations throughout Maine and New Hampshire with 125 associates.

Redlon & Johnson primarily serves the residential contractor, providing plumbing and heating products to the repair/replace/remodel market. Four of its locations include a design center/showroom where homeowners can view and select kitchen and bath products, similar to Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Galleries nationwide.

Redlon & Johnson is the 10th acquisition Ferguson has closed this fiscal year; previous acquisitions include waterworks, plumbing and HVAC companies. Ferguson will continue to look for acquisitions that integrate seamlessly with its core businesses.
