HVAC/R's First Biodegradable & Most Effective Refrigeration Flush Introduced by Mainstream Engineering.
Mainstream Engineering, Rockledge. Fla., a leading manufacturer of aftermarket service/maintenance products, introduces Qwik System Flush(TM) the HVAC/R industry's first biodegradable refrigeration and air conditioning equipment flush that's also non-toxic, non-flammable and the most effective for removing system-damaging residual oil, moisture, and acid.
Recent 2008 third-party results from non-partisan HVAC/R testing laboratory, Applied Technical Services, Inc., Marietta, Ga., now available at www.qwik.com reveal Qwik-SF absorbed more oil, moisture and acid than two other popular methods--HVAC/R's leading brand and the now outlawed practice of flushing with R-11 refrigerant. Unlike some other flushes, patent-pending Qwik-SF leaves no residue if a system is properly evacuated down to 25-inches of mercury.
Originally developed for the U.S. Air Force to clean fighter jet oxygen breathing systems without using toxic chemicals harmful to the pilot or environment, Qwik-SF has been reformulated for the HVAC/R trade because performance lab tests reveal it's the most effective and safest cleaning solution for:
o Line sets amidst HCFC to HFC conversions.
o Evaporators, condensers, and line sets after a system burnout.
o Systems suffering from excess moisture.
o Preventative maintenance programs in suspect systems.
Unlike other more expensive and toxic flushes on the market, Qwik-SF doesn't evaporate prematurely--which reduces effectiveness--or contain decafluoropentane and other solutions that contaminate the service technician and the environment. Qwik-SF is not harmful to skin or if accidentally inhaled.
Qwik-SF is available from all major HVAC/R distributors in 2-lb (850-gram) recyclable aluminum orange canisters that contain enough flush to clean a 10-ton air conditioning or refrigeration system. Qwik-SF's aerosolized, re-sealable canister requires an access valve (not included) and it fits all brands on the market. Also sold separately is a flared rubber receptacle that tightly fits any line set diameter up to 2-inches and includes a male brass fitting that receives conventional refrigeration connecting hose fittings.
About Mainstream Engineering:
Mainstream Engineering is a solutions-oriented research and development company that markets its new product discoveries to the HVAC/R field. Mainstream is currently designing a "Gravity Insensitive Heat Pump" for the thermal control system of NASA's future Lunar Outpost and the next-generation crew exploration vehicle-The Orion. Mainstream manufactured the first refrigeration compressor to fly in space on the International Space Station.
