National HVAC Educators and Trainers Conference to be held in Las Vegas, NV
HVAC Excellence announces that it will be hosting the First Annual National HVAC Educators and Trainers Conference. This unique conference brings together the people from schools, manufacturing, distribution and education administration who are involved in training the current and future workforce of the HVACR industry. The conference is scheduled for March 26 and 27th 2007 at the Circus Circus Casino and Resort in Las Vegas Nevada.
Some of the featured speakers at the conference include: Professor John Tomczyk of Ferris State University (Co Author of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology), Julius Banks the program Manager for Refrigerants for the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Betty Krump the Executive Director of the American Technical Education Association, Steve Allen the Director of HVACR Recruitment & Education for the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, and Bob Dwyer the Director of Training for Bacharach Manufacturing (Co Author of Carbon Monoxide a Clear and Present Danger).
Who Should Attend? This unique conference is created for; HVAC Instructors, Industry Trainers and Educational Administrators. The conference has sessions created for persons involved in training at: Wholesalers, Manufacturers, School, Private Training Companies and Administrators.
Why You Need To Attend? This is an opportunity to learn about the changing technologies and issues effecting training and education in our industry. Continuing education units (CEU?s) will be issued for each workshop attended.
Some of the available workshops Include: 13 and higher SEER (equipment requirements and training revisions), Carbon Monoxide, R-410A and the Phase-out Dilemma, Combustion Analysis, Surviving the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006 & No Child Left Behind requirements - Learn how they will effect your program, Programmatic Accreditation, Hands On (Performance) Testing, Weatherization: What is it? Should I teach it?, Instructor Credentialing, Training Techniques that Work - for the corporate trainer, Standardized Testing.
Persons who register for the conference by December 1, 2006 are eligible for a special package deal of $240.00 per attendee (limited to space availability). The $240.00 covers the General Sessions, Workshops, Breakfast and Lunch on Monday (26th) and Tuesday (27th), 3 Nights of hotel accommodations at the Circus Circus Casino Resort (Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday - March 25th through the 27th), Ground transportation to and from the Las Vegas Airport. After December 1st, persons may still register for t$360.00 (limited to space availability).
