HVAC Excellence Provides New Jersey Educators Professional Development

The New Jersey Department of Education has added HVAC Excellence to its professional Development Provider System. The New Jersey Professional Development Provider System is designed to provide information about professional development opportunities for New Jerseys educators. State regulations mandate that all active teachers and educational services personnel in New Jersey complete 100 hours of professional development every five years, consistent with New Jersey Professional Development Standards.

New Jersey HVAC Educators can now access several HVAC Excellence programs to meet their professional development requirements. HVAC Excellence can provide several train the trainer programs to the instructors as well as educator credentialing.

Under Federal Legislation No child Left Behind, educators take specialized credentialing exams in order to demonstrate they have mastered the subject areas they teach. A credentialing exam is a specialized form of certification that enables the educators to demonstrate subject area competency and educator methodology. These exams are broken down to allow educators to take exams that cover their specific curriculum. New Jersey HVAC educators can become credentialed in any of the following areas: Technical education methodologies, procedures, and issues ~ HVAC Electrical ~ Air Conditioning ~ Light Commercial Air Conditioning ~ Light Commercial Refrigeration ~ Electric Heat ~ Gas Heat ~ Oil Heat ~ Heat Pumps. Educators who decide to take all of the exams are granted the title Certified Master HVAC Educator. In addition, optional specialty exams are available in: Carbon Monoxide and Combustion Analysis ~ Residential Radiant.
