HVAC distributor to open new store and warehouse
Bryant Northeast, a distributor of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, plans to open a new store and warehouse in Colonie this fall, part of an expansion of its full-service operations in the Northeast, the company announced Thursday.

The location won't be released until a lease has been signed, said spokeswoman Maria Ucchino. The site will include a Totaline store. Five to 10 people will work there.

Bryant heating and ventilation equipment had been distributed by F.W. Webb Co. in Albany, N.Y., but Ucchino said F.W. Webb switched to another equipment line. As a result, Bryant Northeast will be the local distributor.

Bryant Northeast is also expanding its full-service operations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Each facility will include warehousing and distribution of Bryant HVAC equipment and a full line of parts and supplies at the Totaline stores.

Bryant Northeast is part of Carrier Corp., a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) based in Hartford, Conn.
